FAQ’S & GUANAJA TIPS

ARRIVAL ON GUANAJA ISLAND WHAT TO EXPECT

Upon arrival to the Guanaja Airport retrieve your carry-on bags and proceed to the terminal where an End of the World Representative will greet you.  Keep a couple dollars handy to tip the baggage handler that is transporting your bag only.  There are many helpers and it isn’t necessary to tip each one. Keep any items that must remain dry in a dry bag or waterproof protector such as camera gear, computers other electronics etc… Sometimes there may be wind, rain or seas that can soak gear.

WHILE YOU ARE HERE:  MONEY AND EXPENSES

Once on Guanaja and at the End of the World you will operate on a cash only basis. The End of the World does not accept credit cards on the premises. US Dollars and Honduran Lempiras are readily accepted as most businesses accept cash only. There may be only one or two stores that accept credit cards and there is only one (1) ATM on the island if the system is up and running. Bring enough cash for activities such as Diving, Fishing, boat excursions, bar expenses, tips, Diving and fishing equipment rentals, souvenirs, t-shirts, hats and restaurants.
